Platvo AI Extension — Privacy Policy

The Platvo AI Chrome extension collects only the data necessary to provide its features:

• Page content: When you use Summarize, Smart Reply, or Quick Actions, the extension reads the visible text on the current page or selected text. This is sent to the Platvo API for processing and is not stored.
• User preferences: Theme, language, and default model settings are stored locally in your browser using Chrome Storage API.
• Chat history: Your recent queries are stored locally in your browser for convenience. They are never sent to our servers.

• We do not collect personal information (name, email, IP address) through the extension.
• We do not track browsing history or visited URLs.
• We do not sell or share any data with third parties.
• We do not use cookies or tracking pixels in the extension.

When you send a query, the text is sent to https://www.platvo.com/api/extension via HTTPS. The API processes the request using AI models (GPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) and returns a response. No prompts or responses are stored on our servers beyond what is needed to process the request.

• activeTab: To read the current page content when you use Summarize or Smart Reply.
• contextMenus: To add Platvo AI options to the right-click menu.
• storage: To save your preferences and chat history locally.
• tabs: To identify the current tab for page summarization.
• scripting: To inject the Smart Reply buttons on social media platforms.
• sidePanel: To provide the side panel chat experience.

The extension communicates with the Platvo API (platvo.com) which uses AI model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI) to generate responses.

All user data (settings, history, favorites) is stored locally in your browser and can be cleared at any time from the extension settings. No data is retained on our servers.
